Crocs Stores and Home Improvement Stores have announced plans to open a store and home improvement business in New Jersey.
The company, which has more than 7,000 stores across the United States, said on Tuesday that it will open its first store in Hoboken, N.J., and will begin selling crocs in 2019.
It will also open a Home Improvement Store in Trenton, New Jersey, and a Crocs Home Improvement Center in New Brunswick, N., in 2019, it said.
Crocs has been expanding its footprint into the New Jersey market for years, but has yet to open stores in New England.
The retailer said the opening of the two stores in Hobock and Trenton was in line with the company’s plans to invest heavily in the state.
Crocs has more stores in the New York metro area than any other retailer.
Croc also announced plans for a store in Manhattan’s Battery Park neighborhood in 2019 and a store on Fifth Avenue in Queens in 2021.
Croc said it would expand its home improvement presence in New Haven, Connecticut, in 2020.
Crocos had been expected to open its New Jersey store in 2019 but the company was forced to halt the project because of budget constraints.
Crocks had been hoping to open two stores this year in New London, Conn., but the store was forced closed in June due to a budget shortfall.
