Apple announced today that it is adding an official iBooks app store to the Apple TV app store.

The new store will offer “classic, classic, new, and new and expanding” titles.

“We are delighted to bring this iconic app store directly to Apple TV,” Apple TV product manager Jonathan Bixler said in a statement.

“By bringing together the best of our best content from the iBooks library, we are able to provide our customers with an experience that is unmatched anywhere else in the industry.”

The iBooks store will be available to all Apple TV owners as an Apple TV add-on.

Apple TV customers will be able to search for books, audiobooks, and audiobook apps on the app store, Bixlers said.

Users can also browse titles for free by searching for the word “free.” iBooks is currently available for $9.99 and is the only app available for the Apple television.

The iBook store will remain free for new Apple TV users, as well as users of the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 3.
