The company behind the popular Enix store chain opened a liquor shop in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, this week, the latest sign of the company’s continued expansion.
The retail outlet is located at 3100 Walnut Street, just east of the Texas State Capitol and is the latest in a growing list of businesses that have opened in downtowns that are home to liquor stores.
“We have been in Fort Worth for quite some time and are thrilled to be a part of the Fort Worth community,” said Ken St. Germain, president and CEO of the Enix Group.
“With a growing number of new and existing retail outlets, the Envisers are expanding their footprint and expanding the offerings that they offer in the Fort Bend area.”
The chain is owned by Enix Inc., a unit of American Beverage Group, Inc., of which Enix is a subsidiary.
“The Enviser’s are committed to providing a safe, secure and convenient environment for the FortWorth community to enjoy,” St. Germen said in a statement.
The liquor store will be open until 4 p.m. every day until July 31, and will serve alcohol at $2.50 per drink.
A “special drink and food menu” will be available for purchase.
A large, glass-enclosed outdoor patio with seating for up to 100 will be located in front of the store.
The chain’s locations have also expanded into other parts of the country.
The company has stores in Portland, Ore., and Phoenix, Ariz., as well as locations in San Francisco and New York.
The new location in Fortworth will be the companys third retail outlet in the city.
St. Germain said the company was looking for a location that was in the same community as its other locations, in order to be closer to its employees.
The Fort Worth location is located across from the Texas Capitol and adjacent to the downtown Fort William Hotel.
Fort Worth is also home to the National Capital Area and the Texas Central Bank, which is a part, along with Fort Worth Public Schools, of the Greater Fort Worth Economic Development Authority.
The EnvisERS’ new location also offers a full range of liquor products including bottled water, beer and wine, plus a large selection of liquor-themed apparel and accessories.
Envis’s stock has increased more than 30% over the past year, and is up more than 60% year to date.
The group is owned and operated by Amoco Inc., and the Fortworth store is the second Envis store to open in the company.
Enix’s Fort Worth store is one of several in the state that are slated to open by the end of this year.
The other is the San Antonio store, which opened in October.
